This trick is performed without any cheating, just applying the laws of mechanics.

So, we need sneakers, preferably with flat laces and two matches. The edge of the table should be with a right angle, without rounding, as in our example.

We break one of the matches in half. That half of the match, which, without sulfur, must either be sharpened with a knife on both sides, or fluff the edges with a nail.

We put a long match on the edge of the table. Between the cord and the sulfur head -5mm.

We insert a half of a match with pointed edges in this way, at a distance slightly less than the length of the remaining half of the match.

We insert the remaining half of the match between the long match and the pointed half. This last half must be installed with an interference fit, so you may have to lower or raise the pointed half.
