Homemade oven from a can

To make a homemade camp stove (or a backup stove in case of a gas or electricity outage), we need 2 empty cans of a carbonated or alcoholic drink.

At the end of the article, as usual, I will talk about all this in more detail in my video on the YouTube channel.

From both cans, we will need only the bottoms.

Using scissors, cut off the bottom of the jar. The height of each workpiece: 4-5 cm.

Insert the bottoms into each other. To make it easier for the workpieces to fit into each other, make a longitudinal cut in one of them.

In one of the bottoms, along the contour, you need to drill holes at a distance of about 1 cm from each other.

And ... one hole in the center.

As fuel, we use medical alcohol 96 degrees. I used alcohol for external use - it is cheaper (30r \ 100ml.)

We fill the alcohol with a syringe through one of the holes.

For a demonstration, 2 ml is enough for me. When cooking or reheating food, the consumption will be approximately 10 ml in 5 minutes. It all depends on the number of holes.

Unfortunately, the intensity of combustion is not regulated here.

Although ... maybe you have ideas, so write your suggestions in the comments ...

Burner start feature

Our oven is powered by alcohol vapor. In order for these same vapors to begin to stand out more intensively, we need to ... heat the stove and the alcohol in it.

So we can’t do without a temporary additional source of fire (some bloggers on YouTube for some reason are silent about this feature).

Literally 5 seconds of warming up and ... alcohol vapors can be set on fire.

Burning like a gas oven

I'll turn off the lights to show you how the oven works.

And here is the promised video version of this article:
