In any case, I would like to make this process as fast as possible and so that the kernel remains intact. Is it true?

Now I will show you 2 ways to chop a walnut so that the kernel remains intact.

So, you will need:

• hammer
• Pipe or like my square profile.
• And of course nuts :)

The cut of the pipe must be even (at an angle of 90 degrees to the longitudinal axis) so that it can stand upright on its own and not fall.

The pipe diameter or profile size should be slightly smaller than the nut diameter.

First way. How to split a nut so that the kernel remains intact.

Place a piece of pipe or profile vertically.

Put a walnut on top.

The joint of the two halves of the nut should be horizontal. As in the photo below.

Well, now take a hammer and strike 2 hits on the nut - from top to bottom.

After that, turn the nut 180 degrees and again beat with a hammer 2 times.

Control the force of the blow. You only need to break the shell. There is nothing difficult in this. Literally a couple of nuts - and you will get used to how hard you need to hit the nut.

After you have tapped the second side, remove the shell.

As a result, you will have such a core. Whole and unharmed.

Now I will show you the second way.

The second way. How to crack a nut leaving the kernel whole.

This method has only one difference from the previous one - the location of the nut on the pipe / profile.

The nut must be installed vertically (nose up) and also hit 2 times with a hammer.

Then turn the nut upside down and strike again 2 times.

Peel the nut from the cracked shell and ... Voila! You have a whole core.
